Dr. Amanda Scott ND, MsAc, CNS, LDN
Dr. Amanda Scott has always known that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others. She was exposed to alternative and functional medicine at a very young age as her mother took her to numerous providers to help figure out why everything she ate was making her so sick. Through her own journey with chronic illness she learned to create a positive relationship with food that also helped her to meet her wellness goals, acquired tools to combat health issues that would continue to arise, and further developed a passion for helping those around her - with natural medicine.
Dr. Scott knew she wanted to be a naturopathic doctor before she started her sophomore year of college at Boston University. While at Boston University, she furthered her education through working in the biology department assisting on cutting edge immunology research. She expanded her experience in holistic patient care by assisting in program development and patient care coordination at Boston Medical Center within the program for Integrative Medicine and Health Disparities.
The second Dr. Scott graduated from college, she accelerated her career in natural medicine attending a dual degree program in Naturopathic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard Illinois. While in medical school Dr. Scott worked for a handful of supplement companies to learn more about the top quality tools available for patients and develop further insider knowledge of the industry.
Dr. Scott approaches every case with empathy and intention. She desires to help others cultivate optimal health and to teach patient’s how to maintain that level of health for both themselves and their families long term. Working with Dr. Scott will ensure you have patient centered personalized care from someone who is on your side 100% of the time, you will always be her top priority.
