Dr. Amanda Scott ND, MsAc, CNS, LDN
Naturopathic Doctor, Acupuncturist, Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist
Dr. Amanda Scott has always known that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others. She was exposed to alternative and functional medicine at a very young age as her mother took her to numerous providers to help figure out why everything she ate was making her so sick. Through her own journey with chronic illness she learned to create a positive relationship with food that also helped her to meet her wellness goals, acquired tools to combat health issues that would continue to arise, and further developed a passion for helping those around her - with natural medicine.
Dr. Scott knew she wanted to be a naturopathic doctor before she started her sophomore year of college at Boston University. While at Boston University, she furthered her education through working in the biology department assisting on cutting edge immunology research. She expanded her experience in holistic patient care by assisting in program development and patient care coordination at Boston Medical Center within the program for Integrative Medicine and Health Disparities.
The second Dr. Scott graduated from college, she accelerated her career in natural medicine attending a dual degree program in Naturopathic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard Illinois. While in medical school Dr. Scott worked for a handful of supplement companies to learn more about the top quality tools available for patients and develop further insider knowledge of the industry.
Dr. Scott approaches every case with empathy and intention. She desires to help others cultivate optimal health and to teach patient’s how to maintain that level of health for both themselves and their families long term. Testimonials
“I have been under the care of Dr. Scott since June 2024 post lumpectomy. The goal was to adjust my diet and lifestyle to optimize my health and thus minimize cancer risk moving forward. I cannot emphasize enough the positive impact she has had on my health and my knowledge regarding food choices. Further, she has been instrumental in guiding my exercise regimen which included strength training and cardio fitness. Additionally, Dr. Scott recommended supplements that have addressed current other health concerns in a natural, drug free way. Dr. Scott has taught me so much and has completely enhanced my life. I physically feel better than I have in decades. Dr. Scott is compassionate, kind, yet direct. I never left a meeting with unanswered questions. As a medical doctor and a person, she is a wealth of information and a blessing to me and my family.” - MBR
“I came to Dr. Scott fatigued, chronically falling ill, unable to lose weight and losing hair. In a matter of 3 months, she was able to reverse all of these symptoms for me. For the first time in over 10 years, I was able to get life changing results. It is refreshing to have someone who makes sure everything she explains is well understood and that no questions go unanswered. Every time we meet, I feel seen and heard as a patient. I’ve been able to reach optimal health under her guidance— which I am incredibly grateful for.” - AM
